I have a dog and a cat do they get along?

I have a dog and a cat and they do get along except when my cat atacks my dog. All my dog does is eats sleeps and poops. My cat atacks the dog when his tail is waging. It funny to metion that a cat can atack a dog and my cat is only a kitten:)
